Tem que ser mais que uma feliz coincidencia

Pela primeira vez na história 

dos BFS fora de terras lusitanas

e já lá vão dez anos

temos uma família portuguesa a partilhar a nossa escola

e a enorme coincidencia/sorte/destino 

quem sabe

for the first time ever

since we left Portugal

10 years ago

we have a portuguese family in our school

and the most amazing thing

coincidence/destiny/luck

who knows

é que essa família portuguesa

pertence à MINHA família portuguesa
de Portugal

somos primas!

mais fantástico seria impossível

is that that portuguese family

belongs to MY portuguese family

from Portugal

we are cousins!

how fantastic is that!

quem anda nestas andanças sabe

que tal não acontece duas vezes numa vida de expatriado

o mais provavel é mesmo nunca

e por isso mesmo

temos tirado partido

 "à grande e à francesa"!

whoever has this expat kind of life

knows that this kind of thing

just doesn't happen often

or ever!

and more certainly never twice in your life

and we have taking advantage of the fact

big time

trocado dicas de sobrevivência

apresentando-os a futuros amigos

sem nos sentirmos afogados com a proximidade familiar

we have been together

giving them survival skills and tips

presenting them to future friends

without the feeling that its too much familiar proximity

sozinhas ou

todos os 10
tudo é mais divertido

we go for trips and walks
alone or
 all the 10 of us

it's so much funnier that way

 

amo o facto de que não tenho que dizer quem sou

a amizade existe desde que nascemos

é tudo tão mais fácil

basta pegar no telefone

por vezes em cima da hora

e combinamos qualquer coisa

ou não
apenas assim

fácil

I love the fact

that they know us

our history

the friendship is old

and everything is so much easier

sometimes we just grab the phone

last minute

and arrange something or not
just like that

easy

 independentemente do tempo que estivermos juntos

estes meses/anos vão ficar connosco

e sei que com eles também

como uns tempos bem passados

enquanto durarem
com a família alargada em Roma

no matter how much time we have together

 we are enjoying the months/years we have 

and I know the feeling is mutual
has a extended family in Rome
